Our annual fundraiser for which we raise money for our chapter's scholarship fund, the March of Dimes, and My Sister's Closet- an outlet for new and gently used women's professional clothing for women in abusive relationships.

March of Dimes March for Babies
Upsilon Kappa Zeta chapter raised money in collaboration with local eateries Chili's, Uncle D's, Applebee's, and Buffa Louie's to benefit the local March of Dimes chapter.
Though we go into full gear fundraising for the March of Dimes during the Spring of every year, we constantly are accepting Upsilon Kappa Zeta team donations for the March of Dimes - March for Babies.

Bowling For Babies
Upsilon Kappa Zeta chapter raised money for March of Dimes through our 1st Annual Bowling For Babies Event. If you missed the fun, we are still collecting donations through our donation button above.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day
The Upsilon Kappa Zeta chapter in cooperation with the Indiana University (IU) School of HPER offers mentoring and a lunch for middle and high school African American and Latina female students prior to attending a free IU Women's basketball game. The chapter sponsors a welcome packet and staffs an interactive information table at Assembly Hall prior to the basketball game.

Black History Month Gala
YKZ sponsors a table and purchases ads for the Annual Black History Month Galas sponsored by the Bloomington Black Business and Professional Association.
Africana Festival
YKZ sorors have participated in a step demonstration during the IU Africana Festival along with the IU Gumboot dance organization and the Gamma Eta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
YKZ sorors volunteer at the IU School of Education program of "A Day On, Not a Day Off!" for school-aged children. The chapter has been awarded numerous Martin Luther King, Jr. grants from the city of Bloomington to support service efforts and to promote National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Bloomington Juneteenth Freedom Celebration
YKZ members have walked in the Juneteenth parade, staffed an informational table at Bryan Park, collected food for the Hoosier Hills food bank, and advertised upcoming programs.
Soul Food Festival
YKZ sponsors an informational table and did a step show as part of the day's entertainment.
March of Dimes WalkAmerica
Held at Bloomington High School South, YKZ members walk annually and have
raised over $1500 each year. For our fundraising efforts, we received a recognition
plaque from the March of Dimes.

Habitat For Humanity
The Upsilon Kappa Zeta and Delta Epsilon chapters have participated in a joint NPHC sorority service effort on behalf of the Monroe County chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
